Mt. Washington Ice Crown in June - Presidential Range
A hiker takes in the view from the summit rocks on Mt. Monroe 5384'. Mt. Washington rises in the background, and it typical unpredictable fashion, which I found later in the hike to be covered in a 6-24 inch thick covering of new rime ice despite it being early June! The alpine flowers were already in full bloom. The Lakes of the Clouds and the Crawford Path (Appalachian Trail)to summit are also visible.
