Gale Force Blowning Snow on Mt.Major - Winter
Though only 1786' high, the summit of Mt. Major is totally open ledge and exposed to strong winds. That was the case on this February days when the gale force winds threatened to flatten the few birch trees that grow near the summit. Blowing snow can be seen, as can Lake Winnipesauke and the white tip of Mt. Washington in the distance.
